3 October 2020 is opening day for Archery Deer Season! For many of us, the preparations started many months ago with clearing spots for food plots, pulling maintenance on feeders and getting camp ready for the next year. I know that work and commitments at home may have kept you from being able to get out to your hunting properties so time is closing in on you. Might I recommend for you to prioritize your work with safety being at the top of your list. Check your ladder stands for security. Replace old brittle straps that have not been replaced for the year, ensure the tree that it is attached to is still green and sturdy. Nothing can ruin a hunt faster than an accident that could have been prevented from happening in the first place. Think of all the “what if’s” you can to have a safe environment to hunt in. Good Luck to you all and I look forward to reading your recommendations and good fortunes in the near future.

Great advice Miley. I have a friend that fell out of broken tree last year and broke his back. Everyone stay safe outside and enjoy the hunt!
